The health system is made up of different environmental factors. Environmental issues are a great impediment to the realization of the lofty idea of having access to emergency healthcare in Nigeria. The Nigerian health system comprises various factors militating against this dream, such as human capital resources, financial resources, infrastructural deficiency, bureaucracy and corruption among others.
In this paper I have been able to take a look at these key health issues in the environment and how they individually and collectively affect access to emergency healthcare in Nigeria with the aid of statistical evidence where available.
The doctrinal method of gathering and analysing data was made use of in the process of carrying out this research work.
The paper ended up by drawing up a conclusion as regards and recommendations made.
